FOR PLUMBERS
Your Root Intrusion Solution
Deliver outstanding customer service by recommending and professionally applying RootX®.
RootX® can easily be applied for root intrusion issues for sewer lines and septic systems and comes in convenient 2lb and 4lb sizes.
Cut roots regrow, creating backups and damaging lines. RootX® is a patented formula that foams on contact with water, reaching the top of pipes where 90% of root growth occurs. RootX® sticks to the pipe walls preventing re-growth for up to one full year.
How to Use RootX®
Plumbers can choose the 2lb for either the toilet or sewer clean-out applications, or the 4lb for sewer clean-out or septic applications. You will need: chemical resistant gloves, a mask, one or two 5 gallon buckets, a protective cloth, apron or coveralls and water.
Each jar of RootX® is one complete application and cannot be divided. The two components within each RootX® need to be pre-mixed before applying. This can be done by attaching the reusable funnel and gently shaking it back and forth for at least 1 minute. Once mixed, pour the dry product into the sewer clean-out or toilet and add the recommended amount of water.
Advise your client to restrict water usage for 4 – 6 hours to allow RootX® sufficient time to work and to create a protective barrier inside the pipe or septic.
There are 12 jars per case and included with each order are detailed written instructions with diagrams, the SDS sheet, RootX® info cards and one funnel. If you have several trucks, you may wish to purchase a funnel for each truck. Complete directions for use can be found at www.rootx.com/plumbers. General directions for use can be found under “Downloads“.
